Full Study Name: Neural Substrates of Motivation
Short Study Name: Magnetic Stimulation Study of the Brain
College / Affiliation College of Arts and Sciences
Relevant Research Categories [328]
Location of Study: University of Delaware Main Campus, Newark, DE 19716
Description of Study:

In this study, you will perform basic cognitive and motivational tasks (eg., responding to visual stimuli) on a computer after being presented with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a form of non-invasive brain stimulation that involves the delivery of brief magnetic pulses to stimulate neurons in the cortex and transiently disrupt neural activity in a small area of the brain. This study consists of two sessions total which take approximately 2 hours each and are separated by at least 24 hours. Participants are compensated $12.50 an hour for your participation, with an additional $5 for every 20 minutes if the session where to go longer than 2 hrs.

Will participants be compensated for participation?
