| Description of Study: |
We are recruiting volunteers to participate in a study on the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulation on the Achilles tendon. We will conduct ultrasound imaging of your legs and perform voluntary strength tests both with and without neuromuscular electrical stimulation. We will use a tensiometer device to measure Achilles tendon motion. |

| Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria: |
The inclusion criteria for patients with Achilles tendinopathy include: Being diagnosed with unilateral Achilles tendinopathy (insertional or midportion). The inclusion criteria for Achilles tendon rupture includes having been diagnosed with a complete Achilles tendon rupture at least 6 months ago. The inclusion criteria for healthy participants include having no Achilles tendon injury. |
