Description of Study: |
The purpose of this remote study is to compare different treatment strategies for developmental language disorder or DLD, and to find out more about teaching children complex sentences. Children complete a screening phase of 1-3 remote visits. Then eligible children complete an additional pretesting phase of up to 3 remote visits. Qualifying children receive 8-10 weeks of language support/intervention, and complete up to 3 post-testing visits. |

Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria: |
Children ages 4 to 9, who mostly hear and speak English, have suspected or diagnosed language disorder, are consistently producing at least 3-4 word phrases with at least 50% intelligibility, and have reliable access to a computer with stable internet. Children are not eligible if they have diagnoses that have the potential to impact language development such as autism, neurologic or motor conditions, chromosomal or genetic syndromes, hearing loss, intellectual disability, or other significant or complex medical history. |
